Film photographs capture more character and feeling than digital photographs. Film has feeling.
Taking film photographs is an act of care, creativity, and purpose. Film photography is not for the rushed or the conventional!
Using 35mm film allows me to capture you in creative and original ways.

I’ve been photographing everything from festivals to conferences to professional headshots for over ten years.
I’ve worked with film cameras and film processes for over fifteen years, from cyanotypes to making pinhole cameras to developing my own film. (Don’t worry - I send your film to the best labs around.)
-
Heck yes! I shoot parties, couples, friends, events, whatever you’ve got in mind!
I particularly love shooting artists/creatives in their spaces, and doing fun photo shoots for the heck of it!
-
My work is less direct than most wedding photographers because it’s mostly documentary-style, especially when it comes to large groups and lots of posing, which I generally don’t do.
I urge clients to have me there as a second set of lenses, and an extra creative heart, to add more depth to the wedding photographs and memories that you’ll have forever.
You, your loved ones, your day, will be beautiful, and I want to capture all of it as it unfolds naturally.
However, if you really like my work and want me to be your sole photographer, let’s chat and see what you’re thinking!
-
Fill out this contact form with your dates and some other basic information.
We will schedule a call where you tell me a bit about yourself, what you’re looking for, and I will answer any questions you’ve got.
If we think it’s a good fit, I send you a contract, you send it back to me signed, with a deposit, and we’re ready to go!
-
It is impossible to know how your photographs look until I get them back from the lab.
That being said, I aim for a minimum of 20-25 photographs per hour.
-
I have a 6-8 week turnaround time.
I only work with trusted labs, and depending on their developing time, it can vary when I get your negatives back to scan and edit.
If your photographs come back faster, you better bet I’m getting them to you sooner. :)
-
Your non-refundable deposit is 30% of the total cost of the project, due upon contract signing.

I am based out of Calgary, Alberta, and happy to travel to nearby towns and parks (Canmore, Kananaskis Provincial Park, etc.).
I also want to work with couples and clients in Western Montana. It’s where I’m from and where my heart will always be, so any excuse to head back is gladly taken. :)
I factor in travel costs when I give you a quote.
